About me:

I am a PhD researcher at Newcastle University, UK. I am currently working on a project to document and describe voice alternations in the Lower Baram language varieties of northern Borneo.

I have been working on documenting, describing and analysing the syntactic structures and voice systems of Belait, Miraik and Tutong since 2022.

I am interested in Language Documentation and fieldwork, Austronesian syntax and the interaction between syntax, semantics and pragmatics.

I am also thinking about translation practices as part of Language Documentation, and how these can be improved.

I have previously worked as a professional translator and English language teacher.
